Discovering passion

I started ThinkFiend with one idea – to promote work created with thought and with love. In that vein, here are two such pieces of work I’ve discovered recently. I’ve been trying to retrace my steps and remember how I found them – but I can’t, and it does not matter.
Of Roads and Kingdoms is “an independent journal of food, politics, travel and culture.” Independent journalists send stories which are eclectic and engaging, the pictures are beautiful. There is a travel section featuring things to know before you go to cities as wide and varying as Tunis or Vancouver. I loved the 17 things to know before you go to Lahore. Other stories include a feature on ayahuasca, a world of spiritual warfare and healing. For lighter reading, I loved this story about hunting for truffles in Iraq. If you’re looking for off the beaten path travel stories, you will not be disappointed.

Traveling Teadom is a blog run by a graphic artist based in New Delhi. Although I’m not a tea drinker, I know the special place that a piping hot cup of tea holds in many Indians’ hearts. Here, the artist documents cups of tea in different places she travels too. Its whimsical and beautiful.

If you’re a wanderer and explorer and a bit of a traveler – these will appeal to you. Let me know of others that are your favorites as well.
